Attaching a SoloAid to your harness

I attach the SoloAid to my harness using one 12" Blue Water 27kN sewn spectra runner. I prerig this by threading the end without the seam (B) through the small hole at the bottom of the SoloAid so that a short loop sticks out.
Step #1: To attach the SoloAid to my harness, I take end (A) of the runner and pass it through my waist and leg loops. I then thread end (A) back through the short loop (B).

Step #2: I now pass the loop of end (A) over the whole SoloAid assembly.

Step #3: The finished knot is compact and secure. It also is simple to tie and untie. Lastly, it keeps the SoloAid close to your center of gravity. WARNING: When rappelling, do NOT let the rope run over the sling.

WARNING: CLIMBING IS INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. THE OPINIONS AND DESIGNS PRESENTED HERE ARE MY OWN AND DO NOT CONSTITUTE A RECOMMENDATION OF OR ENDORSEMENT FOR ANY PARTICULAR OR GENERAL USE. IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ANY DEVICE OR PROCEDURE PRESENTED HERE, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
