After an hour's wait, the party ahead clears out. Jeff, Christian and Karl charge up the first pitch, clawing their way out of the swamp. A cozy little corner is the first belay. Above, the climb warms up with a crack that exits the roof. Christian shows some Egyptian ancestry and offers some choice words of wisdom as he grunts his way out and up. Cringing right below him, Karl wonders if his days as a photographer are numbered.
The climbing is soon spectacular. Clean granite and an awesome 5.9 splitter crack await us at the crux. We encounter hand jams, finger jams, fist jams and laybacks in wonderful variety.
	Much too soon, we top out. The hours have flown by and after a short snack, we must rap. Christian turns green but gamely raps into the void...
